I thought I had lost 3Kg when I fell ill last December.
And then thought I gained it back.
Last Tues, I weight myself on my mum's weighing scale and it showed 55kg
Yesterday, 53.3kg
and Today, 52.7kg

So I can say that I've lost what? Water? Fats?

The salad diet for Lunch is working, OR
The weighing scale is spoilt?

I pick the first choice. :P Haha.

Saving the stupid dog in distress

Stupid Shaggy took his chance and slipped out of the house
when Bryan and Jeremiah went home.
We did not notice him missing until a young pretty lady rang the doorbell at 12 midnight.
Talk about saving the damsel in distress.
It's definitely the damsel saving the stupid dog.
She said she saw him cross the road and she followed him back,
where he hung around outside the gate.

Embarassing and awkward.
Our old dog still so adventurous at 11*7years= 77 years old
He is so damn lucky that my dad is away in China.
Or else, he is so going to be smacked.

Korea Seoul Day 1

The flight to Korea was very smooth.
I sat next to a Korean guy who was very quiet and kept to himself most of the time.
During meal time, he woke me up and help me with opening my rice for Bibimbap. :D
Only the words "Thank you, Excuse me" were used. No talking to strangers like Dad said.
We arrived Korea at 550am sharp.
There were many flights coming to Korea this morning. We had to share the same belt with 2 other planes.
So silly don't you think so? Sharing a belt with 2 other planes at 6am in the morning..
I waited for my big yellow luggage, and went out to call Ko son.
I was clueless to using the payphone, and had to finally ask someone's help after repeated failures.
The ride from the airport was nice and cool.
There were many bridges between the Han River that stretches till the end of Seoul.
We arrived, and I unpacked my stuff, giving out the X'mas gifts. :DDD
I was hungry and ate again. It was brown rice this time..
We changed and went out, to Itaewonland Suana.
It was an interesting experience. It's a pity that I did not manage to take pictures.
After the suana, we went to Myungdong for lunch at a eatery and ordered spicy seafood soup.
I was SUPER HOT!
We shopped, and I bought many of the products I wanted to get myself from Faceshop.
Walked around and we went to this stationery shop in one of the malls.
I got myself an organizer and some stickers. :DDD
We took a cab home after that as we were all very tired.
Ate dinner, and I'm going to bed soon.
SUPER TIRED! I was doozing off.
It's 9pm Korea time and 8pm Singapore time.
I shall rest early for the long day tomorrow. :DDD
Pray that I don't freeze in this cold weather!

My coat is in the luggage!!
Everyone is either wearing jackets or holding their coats in their hands..\
But I'm just lugging an empty luggage with my cushion and wool cardigan.
Oops.
I feel... I don't know.
Excited? Cause its my first time travelling alone.
I feel touched that my dad called just to tell me not to talk to strangers.
Dad's are fierce, but sweet in the heart. <3
Doubtful? Cause I don't know Korean, and I hope I'm going to be sitting next to someone nice on the plane.

Just to let my friends and family know.. I'm doing great, and I'm all ready for the COLD!! (Right.. If you believe me.) Haha!!!

Well, I might..
It's my first time travelling alone, so my parents are giving me the packing jitters..
"Don't be stupid! You shouldn't bring 2 luggage.. Nagnagnagnagnagnag..."
Now I feel that my packing skills are lousy and suffered low esteem. Sigh...
I understand that they worry for me. But how do I convince them that I will be fine? :/
Packing is STRESSFUL!
I thought I was very organized to have at least 1 long sleeve each day. But....
My dad says not to pack a year's worth of clothing..
My mood is totally ruined.. :(

CRAP.. I just found out that Korea does not use 2G phones. Anyone willing to swap my 2G iPhone with me for 9 days? LOL.

While in the cab, I was calculating how much I had spent.
Over $300 in 4 hours.
$150 on scrapbooking, and the rest on my first pair of crocs, and a set of clothes.
That means I'll have less money to spent when I go to Korea. :(

Earlier on, I was stuck in the bus.
The old bus driver had a Nature call, and had to answer it.
It was funny.. Passengers on board, but not the driver.
And I was just 1 stop away from my bustop.
He had to jog to the petrol station that was about 100 metres away and back.
At least he didn't take long; 5 mins.
No one complained.
But it was indeed a strange and funny first experience.

It's a really cool machine. I wouldn't mind going to take again.
We met up today for a movie, 'The Ugly Truth'.
Rating: 4.5/5 stars

We walked around plaza sing after the movie before heading to Bugis to look for the pair of shoes that Bao wanted to purchase.
But we could't find the shop.
Went Iluma to shop, but there's nothing there, so we went to the arcade and stayed there till we were ready for dinner.
We played drums, basketball and racing.
I'm all big smiles.
But waiting for the game 'Jubeat' was torturing.
The people playing, were practically hugging it.
I probably waited over an hour and still didn't get a chance.
We ate dinner at a Japanese Restaurant that looked cool.
We ordered mini sets. Mini Udon and Unagi.
But I'm never going there again.
The unagi I ate that day wasn't really good which gave me a bad tummy.
I was a merlion for 2 days, puking out the spoilt food inside my tummy.
Well, on the positive side, I lost 1kg for fasting for a whole day.
Mum says, its 1kg of water. Not fats.
Such hurtful remarks. To think that I've lost weight. :(

F1 Fever

Went for the qualifying rounds of F1.
We left early around 330pm, to avoid getting caught in a jam.
But there wasn't any. There were plenty of parking at Suntec.
We hung around Starbucks for an hour and I enjoyed my Vanilla Frap and chocolate cake.
Good thing was, I could eat anything I wanted that day w/o mum telling me off that I have a cough and so on.. ^^
We walked around Suntec for abit before going to Marina Square.
The place there was crowded with people going for the F1. Minority were shoppers.
Restaurants were affected the most as hardly anyone dined-in even though there was 15% discount of F1 ticket holders. 15% okay! Now where can you get that elsewhere?
Singapore is really so small that I met Samsam's parents there too. Aww... So sweet, the two of them going together.
I had a try with the stimulator! WOO. My brother was shy and refused to go first, and I went after contemplating for a while.

Look how I steer. I find it funny.

And... he finally decided to drive too. Hei.. Not malu right korkor!

I think we went too early.. I was so tired that during the qualifying rounds at 10pm, I already lying on my mum's lap almost dozing off thanks to those wonderful earwax plugs. They are definitely better than the sponge types. It was a good experience going to F1 and I don't mind going again next year if we get free tickets again. :DDD

Ate too much that day. We even went for late night supper near Lynette's place. Idk the name but I ate there with the gang once.

My dog Shaggy, did something so sweet earlier on.
I was resting on my bed, with the blanket covered up to my face as I was feeling cold.
I heard him come up, but did not call him, thinking he would know that I was on my bed.
I heard him walking around in my room, and was wondering why isn't he here beside my bed yet.
So, I took a peek.
He seems to be looking for me at my chair by the table where I have been sitting the past few days..
Seeing that I wasn't there, he went to the toilet to look.
I could imagine what he was thinking at that point of time. 'Jiejie isn't here either? I wonder where is she. Let's try the computer table again.'
And off he went, walking back towards the table. 'No, she didn't appear'
It was then I couldn't bear it and gave out a cough.
'I heard her! There she is! Sleeping on her bed.'
I immediately closed my eyes upon seeing him coming and when I peeked, he was there by the foot of the bed. I closed my eyes, open, and he came nearer, beside me wagging his tail and giving out a whiny tone wanting my attention.
Then I asked him, 'Why, you want my attention is it?' and patted him on his head and then went to sleep.

I do agree that most staff at N.U.M are suave, built, and technically, tall.
Immediately after work, I went down to Velocity to get my new pair of Havaianas.
Boy was I glad to chance upon their 50% 1-for-1.
Grabbed 2 pairs- White and Leather.
The point was...
The guy that served me was a 'Hot Chick'
He had the most mesmerizing pair of eyes I've ever seen, thick double eye lids, tanned skin, tall, and not to mention, built. (I sound like I'm salivating over him.)
If I wasn't perspiring in there due to the air conditioning, and if I was brave enough,
I'd want to know him!
Really could be in comparison to a Model.

0911: A series of unfortunate events

Today wasn't a very good day; it was a series of unfortunate events for me.
What pissed my off the most was that

My Havaianas got STOLEN!

Working there for nearly 6 months now, I have been leaving my slippers in school all this while..
So happens that some people came down to set up cameras in school, and Voilà!
It's gone the next day.

My grumpy face for the whole day.

My children almost killed me today by pushing over a whiteboard, and hence landed on my arm.
Glad it wasn't my head that got it.
That whiteboard was darn heavy.
Both had to sit on the 'Thinking chair' while I catered to my injury.
I had to explain to them Why I had them sitting on the chair and Why they shouldn't be playing behind the whiteboard.

I spent my first 30 minutes of my 'birthday' watching 'The Prince and Princess'.

For now, today seems like every other day. :)
It's just a day I was born.
I'm usually overly excited about it.

National Day Weekend

I have had a great weekend. :)
Shopping on National Day was enjoyable.
You could really see the Singapore spirit. Families were dressed up in Red and White. Even I! :DDD
But it definitely quieten down around the evening.

I feel sad that the long leave I took seems to have been wasted.
I wanted to do many things with my friends such as going to the Zoo, Singapore Flyer, Sentosa, Etc.
But they are either busy with school, or driving or working. :(

We're going there to enjoy the National Day Parade Atmosphere, and at the same time watch the Helicopters fly past and the F16s and Fireworks! :DDD

My first to fly the kite so high.
Watching the NDP Rehearsal from the roof top garden.
Had picnic there.
The view was spectacle. Fantastic. Marvelous.

Hokkiado Fair

I went to the Hokkaido Fair at Tampines Mall with my Piano teacher today.
It was really crowded.
I had to squeeze my way through with that big bag of mine.
How inconvenient is was!

Still, my trip there was very worthwhile. Although things there are expensive, they're really worth the buy as they are all directly imported from Japan.

I feel like I'm living under a rock.
If not for attending Church - Jordanites, I would have definitely missed out alot on news updates.
And yes, I am sad that there isn't anymore 7 day home quarantine.
That way I won't be able to get an extended break.
Somehow, I now wished I was 7 months pregnant, then I'll get 4 month maternity leave. LOL

I'm still debating whether working half day or full day is better.
If I work half day, I'll go teach tuition, and then earn much more than the full day I'm charged.
Sound good. :D
Babysitting is good money, but it ain't enough, cause of the constant travelling.

Work and study has been really hectic for me.
I hardly have the time to go out with my friends anymore.
Every week is just repeated. Life seems like a fixed schedule now, compared to the flexible schedule I once used to have.
I'm asking myself now, is all this really worth it to lose contact with my friends? Because I'm so busy, my friends can't meet up with me/ nor can I meet up with them due to time differences.
Will our friendship ever be the same after 3 years when I've finished studying?
I see them enjoying themselves with other friends and I'm happy for them.
But I somehow have this sucky feeling of being tied down.
Is it ever possible to maintain the relationship even with my busy schedule?
I do meet up with my Church friends, and Bao Chuan weekly and that's about it.
I missed my DMS friends! I missed my girlfriends! I want to go out with them, BUT... time is always the issue..

Sigh.. Let's hope we'll all be understanding and help me get through this difficult period.. :'(

Don't force a child

Never say 'Stop crying!' when the child is upset.
Never say 'So Noisy! Keep Quiet!' to a child.
Never say 'You're so lazy!' when the child is not willing to participate.

These are those few things to take note whether its for a child or an adult. The theory applies on both. Imagine, you as an adult is upset and feels like crying. Someone comes along and tells you, 'Don't cry. Crying makes you look ugly. You're an adult already. You shouldn't cry.' Just because we're adults does that makes us different? You mean adults don't have feelings? They don't need to be heard like a child? They aren't allowed to express their feelings? The government should make it compulsory to have parents learn how to be good parents. They should attend early childhood lessons before deciding if they should have one or not. Irresponsible parents make me cringe. Like my lecturer say, there are no bad teachers, just ignorant ones. I'll say, there are no bad parents, just ignorant ones.

I know of a girl, who had a complete family with parents. But she just wasn't contented with them. She had never seem to get their attention. She never felt loved enough. They have never tried to stop to listen what she had to tell them. Everything that they said were always right. Nothing she did was ever good enough for her parents. There wasn't any place she could turn to to cry when she is upset. No one to talk to when she wants to share. Not willing to let it go like that, she tries approaching them to talk about it. And she always fails. At times, she would even get a thrashing down for approaching the subject. Being told not to cry when you're upset, or being told to shut up when you just wanted to voice out. Bit by bit, it hurt her emotionally. She felt tortured to stay in home with those 4 walls with no one to speak to. Outside, she looked like one cheerful spirit, but it was just a mask for others to see. Inside, was different. Someone She was just the girl who was always alone. Someone who wished her parents or that special someone would be by her side just to hear and listen those heartaches...

I wonder when she'll ever succeed.

Today was generally a not a good day. It wasn't the worst, thankgoodness.
Thank God for the wonderful friends he presented to me.
But wth. my morning suck.
I've been having these terrible leg cramps that wakes me up during the night, hence causing me to lose sleep, pimples popping out, cranky, whiny, whatever you see in a spoilt brat.
So far, I've been tolerating all that. I've exchange all those with my ever crazy behaviour.
Ask Bao Chuan. She's the witness.
Anyway,
Due to the leg cramps this whole week, I've been taking cab EVERY MORNING.
EVERY MORNING K! That's ROBBERY for me I tell you. ERP + PEAK HOUR.
At this point I'll say, I HATE THE GOVERNMENT. EAT MY MONEY! T.T
That still not the main thing.
Today, as usual for the past 4 days, I took a cab.
This uncle seemed nice when I boarded. We took the CTE, and STRANGELY.
I used the word 'STRANGELY' is cause for the past 4 days, when I mention the address, the Taxi Uncles would ask, 'Go by CTE?' and I'll tell them 'Yes, Exit by Bukit Timah'
But today, the uncle didn't, so I had presumed that he'd go that way. We took the CTE, and he exited at Braddell and travelled towards Thompson Road. When I asked him why is he travelling that way, he mentioned that it was cheaper, and I said "Ok, fine. We can try that way provided there isn't any jam."
Then he told me, there's usually a jam at the exit of PIE. I was like, talk about paying lesser for ERP. Crap.
The jam started right after the exit of the expressway all the way to school.
WORST. He made me late for work when I could very much reach on time.
Curse.

30 hours a day

School starts on Tues

Its really sudden. I haven't even had the chance to tell my friends about it.

Here's how the story goes.
I was calling in RTRC on Monday inquiring about the September intake for the part time in Diploma in Early Childcare Education - Teaching.
I asked if they had other days like the current June intake where lessons where held on Tues, Thurs evenings and Saturday Mornings.
She replied me telling me that she could squeeze me into the June intake.
As I didn't wna sacrificed my Japanese Classes which I have paid for, I took up the offer.
So right now, I'm kinda suffering a little shock and unknown to what lies ahead with the course.
I'm worried.

Lol. And Yes... Its true. Shaggy was caught on TV last night on the channel 8, 9pm 'My School Daze' show, at the scene where the girl 'Jia Ling' was about to commit suicide. If you have pre-recorded it, you will be able to see a white dog with my auntie at the background talking his morning walk. It's not very obvious, but it was indeed SHAGGY on TV.
